An Executive Assistant requires a higher degree of professional skill. Thus, this is not an entry level position. As an Executive Assistant you may do a broad variety of administrative tasks similar to an Admin Assistant, but you are expected to take a leadership role and manage much more, including but not limited to:

  • Organizing complex calendars and schedules by prioritizing inquiries and requests while resolving conflicts, making good judgements and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements
  • Handling all logistics and preparations for board meetings and events
  • Being the primary point of contact on all matters pertaining to the client you are supporting by prioritizing and determining appropriate course of action, referral, or response
  • Handling sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality, and discretion
  • Anticipating needs and preparing everything in advance to ensure that the client is ready for anything especially for meetings and appointments
  • Taking ownership and overseeing projects and critical tasks
  • Solving problems and preventing issues from reaching the client’s desk
  • Attending meetings on behalf of the client -Responding to emails on behalf of the client
  • Serving as a de facto leader within the team by providing a bridge for smooth communication between the client and his/her team by demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support
